David,
Connecticut was level funded at $19,596,400. However, an additional $6.5
million was allocated for workforce and basic skills activities for the TANF
population.
The legislature also authorized a comprehensive study of the adult system
that will include programs run by the public schools, community based
organizations and the community college.

AAACE-NLA Colleagues

So far, the state funding news is good, modest increases in eight
states, level funding for seven, no decision yet in one.

Increases: Colorado (for Family Literacy), Illinois (2%), Maryland
($1.5M for 2008), Massachusetts( $3 Million), Michigan (7.1%),
Minnesota (3%), New Hampshire (7%), New York ($1 Million)

Level funded: Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Pennsylvania, South
Dakota, Vermont (however, they did get funding for 16-22 year old
dropouts), Virginia

Still in process: New Jersey

Let's hear from the other 34 states and the District of Columbia.
