Michigan will have a 7,1% increase to current providers from $21 Million to 
$22.5. There will also be $1.5 Million for new programs including $200,000 for 
an "innovative" Community College program   

The rest of the state supported program is through school districts. Monies 
not obligated for the new programs will be allocated to current providers.

It is felt by most that adult education faired pretty well, considering the 
Michigan's economy but we have a long, long way to go to get back to where we 
were 4 years ago, $80 Million
