[AAACE-NLA] Validity of EFF roles and purposes

Hi Virginia,

first, could you resend your post?  I deleted by mistake.

Yes, the validity of the EFF roles  is one concern; you mention that as 
a concern to yourself also, I think.  How do you understand these 
roles?  How do your students?  To me, they come across as  much like a 
textbook.

How about the 4 purposes?

Do the roles and purposes for learning reflect how you think of your 
own life?

Thanks for starting to shed some light on these issues, from the 
teacher's point of view.
