I am also finding this documentary to be eye-opening, and just as gripping
as filmmaker Sutherland's earlier work, The Farmer's Wife.

It fits in nicely with the theme of the upcoming March issue of Texas'
adult literacy newsletter, Literacy Links. Following up on the excellent
work done for Focus on Basics' June 2004 theme issue on Youth in ABE, our
Texas adult literacy newsletter Literacy Links will take up the theme of
young adult learners for our March issue.

We would welcome out-of-state contributors. If you are interested in
submitting an article on the youth topic for consideration for the March
issue, the deadline for completed articles is Friday, February 17. Word
count for Literacy Links articles is generally in the range of 850 to 900
words. Authors whose articles are accepted for publication in Literacy
Links are eligible for a modest stipend.

If you have questions about submitting an article, please contact Literacy
Links Editor Peggy Sue Durbin.
