I'm trying to address David's advocacy challenge, to
put together a campaign that works.  I can't think how
to do this.  "Invest" seems too pinstripe/Wall Street
a word, even if it's accurate.

Well,.... I will throw out a few words.....how about
"promote " 'sustain" or something like...
Feed, Support and Invest in Literacy, or, (
pulling at patriotic heart strings) .......invest in
the future of our nation, ............Starve
Ignorance and Illiteracy..... :-)

Virginia Crocheron Gildersleeve
"The ability to think straight, some knowledge of the past, some vision of the future, some skill to do useful service, some urge to fit that service into the the well being of the community-these are the most vital things education must try to produce."
