Well, it's tricky.
If you check out the web page for "People for the American Way," you will like it.
If you think the American Way is jingoistic, self-serving or glib, maybe ironic, the phrase will not appeal to you.
OR if you come from a background of antipathy to anything nationalistic,or flag waving,you won't like the phrase either.
I was thinking of the first, but also of the American way of adult education...which is to read a book, or take a class. Home Depot is having special classes for women who know nothing about home repairs and want to, say, retile the bathroom.
I still like it, but for use that suits everyone, that feels right, it has to be fitted out with the right tag line.
