David, 
    Connecticut, Vermont and Maine are three of the states on my contact
list for the Policy Committee. All have active efforts going forward on the
budget cut, but just have not announced anything to the list. I suspect that
we have other states in the same situation.   Art

adult literacy state grants by an average of 66%?  We hope they do. If 
your state is on this list, let us know what's happening. Let us know 
how your state is organizing to bring Congress' attention to this 
issue.  If you don't know what's happening in your state -- and you 
subscribe to AAACE-NLA adult literacy public policy advocacy  list --  
don't you think you should know?
