[AAACE-NLA] High School Graduates at Levels 3-5

Tanya--got a cast lo my arm. Hard to write.

Problem = many strands.

1)     Some incompetent classroom teachers.
2)     Head of sped   = a bureaucrat.   Process 'em and get them "served."    
 
3)     Parents didn't know their rights.
4)     Ridiculous bureaucratic procedures and language
5)     Hence, misdiagnosis--LD, bilingual, behavioral.

I went everywhere, did everything, saw everything.   I have a degree in LD, 
also, besides admin.
Saw the misdiagnosis.   One kid went into LD--he was Hispanic, not LD!

Schools are treated as bureaucracies, and they aren't.   Students aren't 
cars, this isn't the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Language that uses 'served' instead of "taught" should be outlawed.   At 
least teacher/student lingo puts responsibility on the relationship.
