Ms. Kegley,
The $574,372,000 recommended by the House Appropriations Subcommittee for
the Adult Education State Grants (FY 2005) represents the funding for that
specific part of Title II of the Workforce Investment Act. This is not a
Continuing Resolution (CR). A CR is a resolution that allows executive
branch agencies to continue operating even though funds have not been
appropriated for them for the following fiscal year. Therefore, a CR will
come into play if/when Congress fails to approve a final spending bill
before Oct. 1, 2004.

At 10 a.m. today, the full House Appropriations Committee is considering the
Labor/HHS/Education funding measure that was approved by the Subcommittee
last week.

Does this represent the WIA funding stream? As in, a continuing resolution?

Perhaps I'm getting the funding sources confused.
