Dear Andres,

Thanks for spending the time to put together that very long email.

I do not toss out the enlightenment, but recognize I hope that enlightenment and chauvinism exist  together.  Also, not all products of the enlightenment were themselves enlightened.  The Rights of Man [sic] and the French Revolution?  There are many examples of such double dealing. What is one to  make of this?
