This is what might be referred to as "compassionate conservatism." As
the President expresses it, if someone is hurting, put your arm around
that person and tell them that you care. No need for government. The
religious institutions, local neighborhoods and the families will take
care of our social ills. What a guy! What a man of character!
I feel nothing but blessed and privileged to be living under the
leadership of George W. Bush, as he has restored dignity to the office of
the presidency and of America's rightful place in the world. A moment of
silence is appropriate at this time in order to experience, collectively,
the hushed reverberations of the Spirit of God itself as manifested in
the heart, mind, and soul of this man who is called by destiny to lead
our nation at this time of national peril and crisis.
