Mr. Runyon, My organization (the Council for Advancement of Adult
Literacy) has a major national study in process on the role of
community colleges in adult literacy. This initiative is examining
all sorts of partnership arrangements. The initiative is being
carried out under the guidance of a diverse task force chaired by a
community college president (representing the American Association of
Community Colleges) and the study director (the fellow doing most of
the work) is Forrest Chisman. You may wish to e-mail Mr. Chisman at
forrest at crosslink.net. You can also learn much more about the
project, including a first publication, by going to CAAL's web site
at www.caalusa.org. Gail Spangenberg

>1.	Send a message to listproc at ala.org
>2.	In the body of the message, type: subscribe library-lit your
