It seems to me Ms. Keenan would not have taken this action unless directed to do so.  The issue isn't what law she can ciite, as requested by George,  but the fact that she has sent the directive, in effect telling state directors to police providers like me to find out if we are involved in any legislation-related actions, and to stop it.  I hope members of this list will report it to the rest of us if you are on the receiving end of this "check".  So far, I haven't heard anything, and my own state director plans to attend a legislative meeting in our offices tomorrow. (!)  And yes, we do get federal funds, although I would argue and could demonstate that none are connected to this activity.  

I've decided that somebody somewhere is feeling the heat, if the Director of DAEL has been tasked to tell state directrors to root out us troublesome squawkers and shut us up!  This is good news!  Debbie
