An Update from New York:

On Tuesday, January 13, 2004, the New York Association of 
Continuing/Community Education (NYACCE) will convene its quarterly board meeting in Albany, NY.  
At this meeting, we will discuss ways that NYACCE (our statewide adult 
education professional association) can engage staff and students to respond to the 
current NIFL issue.  In addition, we will strategize about our response to some 
of the other major concerns for adult education that both versions of WIA 
reauthorization legislation contain (Senate and House).  We will share our plans, 
and more importantly our actions, in the next couple of days.
