[AAACE-NLA] Advocacy Hall of Honor

Daphne and others,

The bottom line for many of us is that we need to see a clear distinction between the Senate and House versions of the legislation in regard to NIFL so that we know what the differences are and what we are talking about as we go about contacting our reps.

I have been working behind the scenes to get that information and I know there's some action underway to getting a reasonably compact version of the two versions posted and that there have been some difficulties.

All I can say is the sooner the better.

To reiterate, I don't think this is just me, but a number of people are waiting for this information.

How do we know what to say if we don't know what the differences in the two versions are?

Good news and bad news! The good news is that the Advocacy Hall of Honor at http://savenifl.org/honor.html has been updated, and as you can see, people throughout the country have begun to contact their senators/representatives. The bad news is that we have a long way to go. How about aiming for letters from every state? Anyone in Alabama, Kansas, NY, Pennsylvania, Utah willing to take this challenge on (plus all the other states not yet represented on this list)? I know that we can do this-it takes time and effort-but it needs to get done. Plus, you get to have your name added to the Hall of Honor (of course, only if you want it to be added)!
