[AAACE-NLA] Join the Save NIFL Campaign

South Carolina will be holding a legislative luncheon with staff from the
Senators' and Congressmen's offices on Jan. 20 at our Literacy Council.
Nothing fancy-just pizza.  This is the first time we haved attempted this
type of meeting, and frankly, we're pretty amazed that it wasn't so
difficult to get their attention.  These are local staff, so we'll just
have to hope that the dialog will percolate up to Washington.  Our state
director is included.  I'll have more to report after Jan. 20, but for now,
wanted to encourage others that this is do-able--and I'm the last one to
think it would be possible!  Best, Debbie
