[AAACE-NLA] Scientifically Based Evaluation Methods

Colleagues,

1) I may be wrong here, but it strikes me we have to change what is being evaluated.  This would mean we know and share what elements make for  program retention, increases in reading comprehension, stronger classroom dynamics, etc.  This implies we use  what formal research tells us and also what the seat-of-the pants research tells us. 

How about EFF methods, rationale, and evaluation?

2) Whether more scientifically-based evaluation methods will help us   maintain the field if some people want the field shut down anyway is a moot point.
