Hi, George:

Try http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2003/digest02/tables/dt361.asp

It may not be the exact table you want, but you should be able to find the ones you want from here.

Thanks,
-Mary Ann

For a research project I had organized a table of statistics from
1996-2000 on both the federal government's and California's (a) Total
Enrollment, (b) ABE Enrollment, (c) ESL Enrollment, and (d) ASE
Enrollment.

At the time FY 2001 statistics were unavailable. They are now, but I
can't find them on the OVAE page. The link that I had previously that
got me directly to that information was http:ed.gov/offices/OVAE.

Would someone be able to lead me to the right source?

BTW, in 1996 1,291,370 were served. That number dropped to 456, 125.
Similar declines were also evident in all of the categories I mentioned
except for ASE (adult secondary education), in which, after some ups and
downs from year to year, 1996 and 2000 enrollment was about the same.

Feel free to contact me off line at sophocles5 at juno.com or
gdemetrion at msn.com if you prefer.

Thank you,

George Demetrion
