[AAACE-NLA]Re: Confronting the issues directly

I do not believe that being critical of current political positions and being professional are contradictory in any way: in fact, I think being sharply critical of Bob Sweet and the damage he has done is the only ethical professional position that is warranted at this time. Who would decide what is polite, what is a rant? Maybe he needs to hear the outrage that professional adult educators feel about the damage that he and his right-wing co-horts are doing to the field that we have dedicated our lives to. The fact that our tax-supported adult education list serves are now being censored (as Debbie herself informs us), is not unrelated. I certainly hope that we don't censor ourselves in the name of professionalism.
