About UYM	English (USA)
Welcome to the Unlock Your Mind (UYM) online discussion list. The main purpose of the UYM list is to provide subscribers (mostly staff from YouthBuild programs across the country) with information concerning teaching methodologies and practices for At-promise youth. The foundation is teaching methodologies based on Quantum Learning and other brain-based learning. List members can find support, help, and information in the following areas: * Academic and life skills of students * Environment and atmosphere of classroom/organization * Facilitation and presentation skills of teacher * Communication skills * Understanding the latest brain research and information * Upcoming trainings, seminars, and relevant opportunities All messages related to these areas are welcome: 1. Announcements of trainings, seminars, and relevant opportunities if they are directly related to the above areas; 2. Information concerning methods and practices; 3. Discussion of what is working and what is not; 4. Discussion of organizational support and ways to improve teacher voice in an organization; and 5. Announcements concerning latest brain research and implementation. The UYM online discussion list is intended to provide a forum for discussion for those professionals who work directly with students and teachers. Using UYM
To post a message to all the list members, send email to uym@lists.literacytent.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to UYM
Subscribe to UYM by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
